Camilla's fifteenth birthday party (center); Camilla
is the daughter of the first counselor in the bishopric
and the relief society president
Sister Goodman teaching the primary girls
how to make "galletas" (cookies)
They were good students and they enjoyed sampling
their creations -- but they couldn't decide if they liked
sugar cookies or chocolate chip cookies best
Fall is in the air! We can see the leaves beginning
to change colors from our balcony at the apartment
Saying goodbye to more great missionaries --
Hermanas Howard, Koch, Larson, and Johanson;

Hauver, and Flores
Hermana Howard with two of her success stories

One of our favorite Barrio Centro members -- Huajupe!
Lago Llanquihue on a clear, sunny day
Osorno Volcan, in the background, has nearly lost its
snowcap by summer's end
It took two vehicles for this shopping excursion.  Elder
Goodman is loading up the other vehicle in the back of the lot
Elder Goodman and Sister Erickson after a shopping
spree in Puerto Montt
Enjoying another p-day in the campo -- this time at
the home of Emilio and Pilar Schnettler.
Elder Anderson, President Rappleye, Elder Goodman,
and Elder Pugh
 Sister Rappleye and Pilar
Emilio preparing the barbeque -- with a lot of supervision
Salad, "grass fed beef steak," and French fries.
Life is good!
 A walk around the property
 Emilio and his daughter, Emily
A scene reminiscent of Sister Goodman's days
as a girl, spent at Penzance near Joseph City
The roundup was successful
 More ward activity
The rain didn't seem to dampen the enthusiasm
 The "girls table"
And a great time was had by all.  Wait . . . there's more!
We thought everyone's eyes were supposed to be closed
Elder Goodman sampling "mate."  He wasn't sold on it
even though they added quite a bit of sugar
"Olgita" and Raul.  We love this little couple!
Elder Jimenez, Huajupe, and Emilio picking plums.
We are pretty sure this wasn't an OSHA approved activity
We all kind of felt like this after lunch -- but there was still "once"
Hermano Arrangua prepared to create "once"
Desserts (kuchen, cookies), tea, and soda.  They do know
how to throw a party!
Our summertime ward activity in the "campo" at
the home of Hermano Cartes -- Elder Moreno,
Huajupe, Elder Mason, and Elder Damasco
The priesthood leaders of the barrio --
Hermano Ruiz, Arrangua, Chacon, Goodman, and Barria
 Elder Goodman and Hermano Cartes
 The Barrio Centro bishopric

 Some back room diversion
 The salad bar
The grill
 We love our hermanas!!!!
Hermana Howard, Sumaran, Cartagena, Martinez,
Castillo, and Perez.  They give GREAT hugs!
We wish these would grow in our yard at home.
Jovita and Tamara shared these from their yard
Our "AP son," from the upstairs apartment -- Elder Davis.
We really are going to miss him!
 Homeward bound!  These missionaries are
leaving a hole where they served.  We will miss them.
Elders: Urrutia, Bowers, Olavarria, Fairbourne,
Arce, Viramontes, Trammell, Contreras, and Davis.
Hermanas: Nygaard, Cardoza, Perez, and Rossi (not shown).
 Elder Arce.  GOOD MORNING!
The "other side" of the missionaries we get to see
on occasion
Elder Bowers.  We wish we had a daughter for this one.
This is an exercise ball.  Not sure Elder Goodman
understands the purpose
Sweet Helma -- one of the members of Barrio Centro.
Sister Goodman is her visiting teacher and loves her!
